Brewer finds her groove in Super Trofeo with RAFA Racing

After years of chasing the right opportunity, Lindsay Brewer has found her footing — and the podium — in the 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America championship with the RAFA Racing Team.

Driving the No. 2 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 alongside British co-driver Jem Hepworth, Brewer has made an immediate impact in her first full season of sports car racing.

The duo became the first all-female crew to stand on the podium in Super Trofeo North America since 2019 in race two at the opening weekend in Sebring.

They backed that up with another third place at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and went on to finish second in both races in the Am class at Watkins Glen International.

“It’s been incredibly rewarding,” Brewer says. “Standing on the podium with Jem is the best feeling — not just because of the result, but because of how far we’ve come and how hard we’ve worked to get there.”

The 2025 season is her first time racing a GT car, and her transition from open-wheel machinery to the 600-horsepower Lamborghini has been seamless..

“The car is a beast — it’s insanely fast in a straight line and super light, but it’s also very different from anything I’ve driven before,” she says.

“You really have to be aggressive with the inputs, especially mid-corner, and that’s been a big adjustment coming from open-wheel where everything is so delicate and precise.”

While new to the category, Brewer isn’t new to racing. She began karting at age 12 in Colorado, quickly winning regional and national championships before moving into Legends cars, where she won the U.S. national title in 2016.

A lack of funding forced her to step away from competition, but she stayed focused on finding a way back — building a business, a brand, and ultimately, a second chance.

“I always knew I’d race again,” Brewer says. “I just needed to find a way to fund it.”

She did — leveraging her growing social media following to secure sponsorship and return to racing in touring cars in 2021, before moving to the Road to Indy ladder with USF Pro 2000 and Indy NXT. But at the end of 2024, she hit another crossroads.

“I had dinner with Rafa and told him I was ready to try something new,” she says. “Open-wheel was amazing but also extremely tough, physically and financially. I was ready for a new challenge — and the opportunity to race for RAFA in Super Trofeo was the perfect fit.”

The results have validated that decision. Brewer and Hepworth have stood on the podium multiple times this season, competing at the sharp end of a grid filled with experienced drivers. Beyond their on-track chemistry, Brewer says their working relationship has been a major asset.

“We push each other,” she says.

“Jem’s a great teammate — smart, fast, and easy to communicate with. In some areas, I’m quicker, while in others, she is, and that gives us great data to improve together. The balance has been awesome.”

The team environment at RAFA has also played a critical role. With experienced racers like team boss Kevin Conway and coach Corey Lewis as well as rising stars like Kiko Porto on the squad, Brewer has had access to top-tier feedback and support.

“The resources at RAFA Racing are unbelievable,” Brewer says.

“Everyone is pulling for each other. It’s a real team, and having that support — both technically and personally — has made me a better driver.”

Podiums have brought recognition — but they’ve also brought validation. Brewer has worked hard to prove that she belongs in this sport not because of her social media presence, but because of her skill behind the wheel.

“There’s always been people who didn’t take me seriously,” she says.

“But I’ve been racing since I was a kid. Social media was my way back in, not the reason I started. Everything I’ve built online has been about getting back in the car.”

She’s quick to acknowledge that content creation is still part of her career — but the focus is getting results on the race track.

“It’s a balancing act,” Brewer says. “When I’m at the track, I make sure I get content done early so I can focus fully on driving. I’m a racer first, always.”

With multiple podiums already secured and clear signs of progress each round, Brewer is aiming even higher in the second half of the season.

“I think we’re close to getting that first win,” she says. “The pace is there, the team is strong, and Jem and I are working really well together. We’re hungry for that next step.”

As for what lies beyond Super Trofeo, Brewer has big goals — and the confidence that comes with earning results.

“Long term, I’d love to stay with RAFA and work my way up to GTD in IMSA,” she says. “Racing the Rolex 24 at Daytona, or even Le Mans, would be a dream. And I still haven’t given up on the Indy 500 — I’ve wanted that since I was a kid. Katherine Legge did it at 42. I’m 28. There’s still time.”

For now, she’s focused on podiums, progress, and making the most of a breakthrough season.

“Every time we’re on that podium, it’s a message to everyone who doubted me,” Brewer says. “I’m not here just to show up. I’m here to compete. I’m here to win.”
